Live Well Collaborative

SPRING 2024: BOEING & CINCINNATI CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL

Live Well is a design agency that uses the Design Thinking framework to translate
user-centered research into a client-focused product and/or service.

During my six month internship at Live Well, I was a Design Researcher for two studios at the Live Well Collaborative in Cincinnati.

One of these studios was related to the medical field, in partnership with the Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute (CBDI) at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, and the second related to aviation with Boeing.

While I am not able to display this work online due to confidentiality,
I look forward to sharing more about my creative process and experience in-person!
METHODS AND SKILLS
BOEING: REDESIGNING THE CABIN EXPERIENCE
This studio was in collaboration with UC's Undergraduate Engineering and Master of Design programme.

The Live Well team was responsible for conducting the studio and bringing projects to a delivery standard fit for Boeing.

The objective for this studio revolved around enhancing the in-flight Boeing cabin experience for all stakeholders involved from boarding to de-boarding.

Besides user research , this studio involved conceptualising a final service/product, pitching and prototyping a final idea.
CANCER AND BLOOD DISEASES INSTITUTE (CBDI)
AT THE CINCINNATI CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL MEDICAL CEBTER (CCHMC)
The CBDI Survivorship program at Cincinnati Children's is amongst the best in the nation.

This studio focused on different actions within the division that involved processing patient information at both the front and back end,  as well as re-defining the program's structure.

We created user journey maps to clarify and condense the actions and stakeholders involved within the 12 month period between a patient's post-therapy and first survivorship appointment. Persona creation helped curate the map to reflect specific scenarios, and ensure the overall versatility of the map.

The Live Well team also worked on redefining the survivorship program to convey the specific therapies provided to patients in survivorship care. After extensive interviews, cards were created to introduce the medical team and the services they each individually provided.

Benchmarking, data collection and data visualisation were fundamental to achieving the task objective.
