Hi! I’m Shikha Chatterjee, a senior Communication Design student at DAAP working across UI/UX and experiential design. I design at the intersection of systems and human behavior, translating complex ideas into experiences that are grounded in how people actually live, think, and feel.
My projects and work experience spans industries from healthcare to hospitality, but the throughline is consistent: I contextualize. I take abstract problems, emerging technologies, and evolving tools, and shape them into experiences that make sense in real-world environments.
As execution becomes faster and more accessible, I focus on what doesn’t scale as easily: judgment, critical thinking, and human insight. I’m interested in defining what should exist before optimizing how it looks, balancing user needs with business and technical realities.
Having lived across multiple countries and developed a curiosity for multiple disciplines in relation to design, I bring an interdisciplinary, global perspective to my work. I value adaptability, cultural awareness, and designing with empathy; creating systems that are not just functional, but meaningful.
