Hello! My name is Shikha Chatterjee.
I am a third-year Communication Design student at DAAP.

I graduated in 2021 while in New Delhi, India with an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, specializing in Visual Arts and English Language. After graduation, I spent a year at a liberal arts university in India, exploring new areas like sociology and philosophy, which helped me refine my interests and choose my undergraduate degree carefully.

I chose Communication Design because it aligns with my passion for art, language, media, and culture.

Design is a dynamic field that interacts with various disciplines, and this website showcases my portfolio while providing insight into my interdisciplinary approach. From research in photographic theory and ethics to social response through design and art, I enjoy connecting different fields and observing their interplay.

I believe that personable, accessible, and inclusive design can deliver positivity and hope, connecting communities and supporting individuals.

This belief drives my career aspirations in the field.

Having attended 7 schools across 3 countries and 2 continents, I am adept at adapting to new environments and handling challenges. I thrive in uncomfortable situations, adapt to new ways of working, and achieve results without fear of failure. Outside academics, I am passionate about photography, travel, and culinary experiments, and I prioritize wellness and mental health in my personal goals.
